Mountain trip

Hi again~! This time i'm going to tell you about the trip i came from yesterday. I told myself it was better to post today because this is one of the few free days i've got left. After today the madness will be unleashed and plus, I promised Lexie i will, because she is anxious about my post.

My finance & banking classmates and I planned this trip since the beginning of the semester but things evolved in such a way that, in the end, only 5 of us actually went: Lucia, Alexandra, Andreea, Marc and I. Andreea was the one that organized the entire thing and i must say that it was amazing! As i've mentioned before, I ADORE MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPES, so i couldn't say no to such a chance.

During our stay at the cabin we ate alot, we went to a convent nearby, took walks, watched "Rio" the movie[a very cute and funny love story; watch it if you haven't already], started a camp fire; in other words we relaxed and enjoyed the nature. Also, Andreea's parents were so nice! They treated all of us like their own children. Her dad took us to the cabin, waited for us at the bus station[ we went first in Andreea's home town - Hateg and from there to the cabin somewhere in the Retezat mountains], he helped us shop for food and her mom waited for us with food so we won't starve until later when we would arrive at the cabin.

This was the yummy fruit salad with alchohol sprinkled on top [here is without alchohol]. It's made from apples, oranges, bananas and coconut.
Swamp somewhere on the edge of the road leading to the convenant.
Nisipoasa convenant
Meet Viorel - the centipede Luci found at "Viorel's spring" where we went to take water in order to cook. Isn't he nice? :))
Marc, being the thoughtful guy he is, brought us Milka.

Andreea's dog, Tiara, is one of the nicest and cutest dogs you've met. She's so playful and loves to be the center of attention.
The owner of the cabin kept a pack of 7 dogs. They were all friendly, but the nicest of them all was Linda who the moment she saw me, came and nudged me with her nose to pet her. I didn't know what she wanted so i was a bit scared, but i pet her and she bowed her head obediently. When i was sad because my camera took a dip in the river[but it's dry and working now! yayy~~!!!] she came to me and put her head on my lap and when i left she came with me at the gate and nudged me with her nose as if saying goodbye. I was really touched.
She reminded me of a stray dog i adopted when i was little - Lola, who was as kind as Linda is and who came with me to school every morning. But unfortunately my crazy neighbour took her from me. I just hope she is still alive and well now.

We also went to see the lake barrier up in the mountains, but i've got no pictures because they're made with Luci's camera.

We spent sunday night at Andreea's place. They watched a movie but i went to bed because i was tired and upset. Today when we returned to classes the trip was hot topic among our coleagues and teachers. I think it will remain so all week xD

I don't regret going there because i was able to relax and have fun and i know that maybe i won't get a second chance to go there. Too bad the others couldn't come. :(

Oh and today i officialy changed my dentist! I chose well because she is very nice, skilled and has cheap prices for her services compared to others. I'm happy!

Spring is here!

I can finally feel it!*jumps up&down* The sun is up in the sky, the weather is warm and i can finally let go of winter clothes. Proof is everywhere!

To celebrate the great weather, a few of my classmates and i went to the park nearby after we finished courses to just chat and relax.
After an agonizing wait, the short Easter holiday came too. Since right now is Easter let me wish you the best!! I've decided to rest for a few days and then start reading some courses. But until then, i will read the 2 books I bought yesterday[as a present from my aunt]
I've read the first 40 pages of "Piercing" and i must say that i love it! It's about a guy who has a wife and a newborn child and who harbours thoughts of killing his baby which determines him to seek other victims. A dark psihological thriller = my type. I don't know much about "The norvegian woods" but people have been saying is good, so why not?

I'm happy cuz i've discovered that one of my favorite bands, Within Temptation, released a very interesting and cool album this year - "The unforgiving". I'm listening to it now hehe.
Today i saw the movie with Johnny Depp Lexie was telling me she stumbled upon last night on TV
It's a 2004 movie about the story of J.M. Barrie's friendship with a family who inspired him to create Peter Pan. It was a very touching drama.
Speaking of movies... I also watched
at the cinema with Deny, Iza, Bobby and Csaba. Nice movie, although i predicted some stuff. Don't regret seeing it though because it had an interesting concept. ^^ And also i watched
with Dee and it was a bit dissapointing in the sense that we expected it to be more scary. It seems that no horror movie scares us anymore. What didn't dissapoint me until now is the show i'm watching lately
It's very interesting and reminds me of the time i was studying biology in highschool. I recommend it!
So...this is about it for today. I'll update when i have time because after the next week i'll be very busy preparing for tests and exams.

Spinning back the wheel: February

Hi everyone. How have you been? I certainly have done so many things that I didn't have time to post on this blog and I'm sorry for that. So I decided to go back in time and relate most of the events starting from February.
February is the month of love and that's because from the beginning until after the 14th of the month wherever you go you can see how love is in the air. Literally and figuratively, because at the mall there were cardboard hearts hanging from the ceiling * laughing * but also you could see many couples holding hands on the street or buying presents for each other. It was very romantic.

Speaking about presents I received a two presents from my boyfriend. The first one is a self-created heart made from Malachit in a simple but elegant box made also by him:
I really like that fact that he struggled to do this for me since I like things that are hand made and also I love the green color, matches my room very well. The second present I received from him, which I adore the most is also hand made (but not by him), two red hearts and one pink rose placed on lotus leaf all made from wax. My name and his are written on the two hearts and a short message is written on the lotus leaf that says " With love for little chicken". He likes calling me little chicken, which in Romanian means "pui". It's funny and cute at the same time.

I on the other hand, racked my brain to find something that he likes, that can be useful and enjoyable to do or to have. So when I went shopping for Valentine present I dragged Andra with me. I bet she was cursing me in the second we entered the mall because it was Valentine's Day fair. Everyone was buying presents for their loved ones so it was crowded and noisy and you could barely find something interesting. At first we brought a candy and after a few rounds we gave up and went to Carturesti for some tea. That's where I spotted his presents. It was pink origami box with hearts that was shinning like screaming for my attention. So I went there analyzed it a little and then decided to take it.

But since we have this tradition of two presents, one prank and one that's good. Well I wouldn't call it a prank though, it's rather a present that doesn't impress you as much ad the second one will. I decided to try by myself to make for him a heart from origami paper. I wrote inside two love phrases and put it on a envelope. So when we exchanged the presents I gave him only the envelope with the origami inside and lied and said it was his only present because I didn't have money and time to buy him something. He wasn't mad neither sad he was so attached on figuring out how I made that origami that I think he ignored what I said. After a few minutes I gave him the box and he was shocked because he didn't expected it. He said he thought I will buy him something that he wants but he didn't have any clue of it would be.

In the same month I went shopping for food with my boyfriend and his sister and strange and uncomfortable event happened to me. I bought soya milk with chocolate and also with calcium from the market and the chocolate one was spoiled although the expriration date was in March 15th. Weird.

Oh and I made a half of heart from pink grapefruit shell.

Lately....

....I feel conflicted. I want to be left alone, yet i yearn for people's presence. I feel stressed for some reason and I need a break from everything and everyone. Perhaps my sickness is a reason for that too. I've spent 1 week in bed with a sore throat and an ugly cough. Even the meds i took made me sick and i had to change them. I lost 1 test and screwed up other 2 because i wasn't in the mood for study and i had no time either. But this break of mine must wait until summer. I have many projects with close deadlines and other tests/exams that await me. Must deal with those first.
But enough with complaining and off with the bragging! ^^;
Since i feel a bit better, i went out with 3 of my finance and banking classmates last sunday. We had a drink and took a walk in the center of the town because little Easter-themed shops have been established. They have everything from hand-made accesories to smoked meat or sweets. Also, today i noticed that they put up a hutch with bunnies~!!
The funniest thing happened while we were walking around. I was taking pictures of the center when i heard some guy say "hey! hey! take a picture of me too! don't you wanna? huh? Come on!! take a picture of me!". I thought it was some random guy asking for attention and i was preparing a smart line to chase him away. I turned with a smirk on my face and said "oh? you want a picture? Then take a picture with me :)" We were both smiling when he said "sure" and asked his friend to take a picture of us because i tried to snap a selca and couldn't [damn me and my height!]. The girls' jaw dropped instantly when they saw what was happening. But a moment later i asked him how has he been lately and then they realised we actually know each other. He was my classmate back in highschool. The girls told me they thought i was flirting and acting close with a random guy like it was the most normal thing in the world. That's what i get for not being able to control my acting :))

Yesterday i had to meet with 2 of my current classmates to research and talk about our project for Credit Institutions. We met to drink a cup of tea at my favorite library - "Carturesti."

We found what we needed and tomorrow we'll meet again to go into details. We went to "Diverta" too and there i found the cutest keychain EVER!

Today I got an emergency call from Iza-chan saying that one of our classmates from the japanese course, Alexandra, got into contact with Masa, the vocalist from a Visual Key band called "Ant1nett".[I swear I love the way we keep bumping into japanese people like that. Source of information for us.] He was in town and they agreed to meet. Of course i couldn't let this pass me by and i went there. We found him in front of his hotel, waiting for us while smoking. He is a really nice guy, but he was shy at first [maybe due to the fact that 5 girls came to see him XD; lucky for him Csaba came too and he wasn't feeling awkward anymore].
He told us many interesting stuff about Japan and its people. [We made sure to ask many questions xD] We took many pictures, especially Csaba, who is really into photography. On the other hand, Alexandra gathered up some courage and made Masa an origami UNICORN. I didn't know it was possible, but now I have proof too. She is really good. I can barely make a heart -.-#
Of course, small incidents couldn't have missed. We tripped, a kid almost bashed her face into some pointy rocks right at Masa-san's feet, i spilled some honey on my clothes embarrasing myself. But the biggest incident was this: we entered a Turkish Fast Food shop and the girls who served were stunned when they saw Masa. They started asking us "what language is he speaking? Chinese?" "no, he speaks japanese" "Is he japanese?" "Duuuhh~~" "Is he male or female?" "male" "He's so wierd~!" That's when i lost my temper and told them with a bit of venom on my tongue "He's the vocalist of a rock band. That's why he is dressed like this, it's nothing wierd with that." And then they shut up. I hate when people start categorising others like that. They don't know him[not that i did, but yeah, you know what i mean]. Good thing that he doesn't understand Romanian. Saved us and him from a lot of trouble.
But at the end of the day everyone had a good time and that's what matters :)

Outing and other rants

Since I've arrived from Cluj I haven't been able to catch up on sleep. I've been skipping my 8 a.m classes because of that. Last night was better though so I guess starting from next week, I will be going normally to Uni. Because of our busy schedule, Dee and I meet up a couple days/week and watch Supernatural [season 6] or SunKyungKwan Scandal [we made a progress reaching episode 13].

My finance&banking classmates want us to go out more often[mostly for a drink or something because we reached the conclusion that we are already 2nd year and we don't really know each other well] and we planned a trip to "Raul Mare". I'm happy is a mountain area. I love going to the mountain! It's not expensive either.

My japanese classmates want the same thing although we started going out often since a while ago. Our last outing was with a japanese man Iza-chan picked up on the street...literally XD She said she was walking on the street when saw him. Thinking "oh~ asia-jin....but is he japanese?" she stopped him and his companion and asked where where from. When the reply was "Tokyo" she was like "Ah~ Sou??"*large smile*. They started talking and she invited him to go out with us.
I must say I admire Iza. If it were me, I would be just walking past and minding my own business. Kato-san is a nice person. He showed us many pictures from where he has been travelling like Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia etc. I wanted to cry because i want to see those places too! :(( He had also a lot of cat pictures too! *squeals* We took him to Union Square and then to Scottish Pub. We picked the place well since it was jazz night and jazz was one of his favorite genres. He is now in Bologna but he said he will be waiting for us in Tokyo.

Speaking of which...the last days I grow sadder by the minute when I hear the news about Japan. I am thinking "What about me?? How am I going to study there for my master's degree when this happens??" They have troubles with the nuclear plants as if the devastating earthquick and tsunami weren't enough. Who told them to construct nuclear plants where earthquicks and tsunami's can occur any minute??? But then again, I know that each country has its own reason for constructing those plants. I am lucky or better said, they are lucky for being so calm in situations like this and act swiftly unlike romanian people who start panicking and running in circles for weeks when there is a flood before doing something. I am sorry, but this is the truth.

And I have another reason to be sad...well, more like dissapointed. I registered for practice at a firm recommended by our teacher and guess what? I don't appear on the interview list. I spoke with someone there and i was told that they will contact me, but if they don't do something until monday I will there go personally. Is better when you have a trainer look after you. I mean if I were to go and search practice firm by myself, noone would take care of me and I wouldn't know what to look for when creating my portfolio. I mean, i will be having an exam from this and I am NOT going to FAIL.

Now I feel so much better after venting xD That's it for today. I've been giving you enough info. Until next time, take care!

Visiting Lexie

Since I had a short holiday this week and Lexie's birthday came I decided to pay a visit to her. I took the train early in the morning fighting with myself to stay awake. 8 hours on the train is too much, but the company was nice and I even managed to fall asleep at some point. Also to pass the time I took out my camera and started taking pictures of beautiful romanian landscape[ I love hill/mountain landscapes].
I felt drained when I reached Cluj, but after a bit of rest, 2 of Lexie's friends came by and we all went to the mall. They wanted to see Catalin Botezatu's fashion show, but by the time we arrived, the stage was empty and everything was being packed. Not knowing what to do, we decided to go to the cinema. The film we picked was...
A very good horror/pshychological movie. I haven't seen such a good movie in years, although there are some aspects of it I didn't want to see :)). Natalie Portman is indeed a great actress. Nevertheless, if you haven't seen it yet, you better go to the cinema now.
On monday she had classes and I didn't want her to skip so I infiltrated in her English Theatre class. After the class, like she promised, we went to the Japanese restaurant. Everyone ordered what they wanted. I ordered Katsudon. The food was delicious. Too bad I couldn't eat it all.
 Katsudon
Ramen
Lexie ordered something with prawn, I can't remember the dish's name and...
Sushi
As desert I ordered sesame icecream. It was soo good, but not for my throat which started to bother me.
After filling our tummies, we did a bit of visiting. Well...at least I did since they live there.

The next 2 days I participated in her Korean Class, went at the mall to eat. I like her teachers. They are nice. Now I know why she likes it there so much.

Unfotunately, what has a beginning must have an end too, so on Thursday morning I took the train to Timisoara where Dee was waiting for me. I'm glad I could spend a few days with Lexie because I know I won't be able to see her until the exams in summer.
